Where is Betta Days located?
We're located in Kurri Kurri, NSW (34 kms from Newcastle and 12kms from Maitland)
If there is a particular reason you cannot attend the office, we will discuss this with you.
What are your opening hours?
Betta Days is open for therapy Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm. We don’t work on public holidays.
How often does my child need to attend therapy?
Therapy sessions generally occur weekly. Betta Days therapy usually lasts for 8 to 20 weeks.
Do I have to come to the appointments with my child?
Yes, as a parent/carer your support is invaluable. Therapy will sometimes involve the therapist spending time with you and your child together and at other times separately. You are an active participant.
Can adults do TF-CBT?
Yes. Although TF-CBT was developed for children and young people 3- 18 years, it is also very effective for adults. The Betta Days therapist will tailor their approach for adults.
Is there a cost involved?
Yes. Fees are $180 per 90 min session.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer bulk billing. Some private health insurance policies may cover a portion of counselling costs.
How do I make a referral?
Adults, young people and children are all eligible for referral.

Lifeline - provides assistance to all Australians experiencing a personal crisis. Lifeline has a 24 hour telephone crisis support and suicide prevention service.
